Last summer my family and I had just completed a trip that took us from the Virgin Islands back to our home on the Chesapeake Bay.  Our slip was having deck work done so we hooked up on a friends mooring for a few days.  The night before I was to move the boat back home we had a gale blow through and took our boat for an unscheduled ride!  The boat had only blown a few hundred yards but it did damage to two other vessels and sustained damage of her own.

We called our agent at Dawson Marine Insurance and within a few hours a claims representative was orchestrating the repairs to everyone's vessel, from handling towing bills, to having the damage surveyed to us being able to choose where we had our repairs done.  Our boat is our "baby".  We have sailed everywhere and have had several insurers and agents in the years past, but none have ever kept lines of communication open in handling our claim the way the team at Dawson Marine Insurance have for us.  Their ability to get us the navigation limits we needed and at rates that didn't "sink us" were second to none!
